Nasserite Source: Coordinated Media Campaigns Will Not Deter Us from Our National Stance

An official source within the Nasserite Unionist People’s Organization expressed strong astonishment at what it described as a series of misleading media reports published by outlets affiliated with a particular political party, accusing them of engaging in deliberate disinformation and distortion of facts to serve narrow partisan agendas.

In a statement to Al-Wahdawi Net, the source dismissed a report published by Al-Masdar Online on Monday, October 13, 2025, regarding the symbolic vigil organized by the Nasserite Organization on October 11 at the tombs of President Ibrahim Al-Hamdi and his brother Abdullah in Sana’a, as part of a systematic smear campaign. He emphasized that this annual vigil has been held since 2011 to commemorate the two martyrs and reaffirm the organization’s commitment to carrying forward their national reformist project.

The source said such media practices lack professionalism and ethical standards, and fail to uphold the journalistic integrity and social responsibility expected of the press, adding that this kind of rhetoric “serves no truth, only distortion.”

The source further revealed that corruption networks have recently intensified their media campaigns across various platforms — including television, print, and social media — to malign the organization and its Secretary-General Abdullah Noaman Mohammed, in retaliation for the party’s principled stance alongside citizens harmed by corruption, particularly in Taiz, where the assassination of Iftihan Al-Mashhari was described as the latest of these crimes.

He also noted that the Nasserite Organization has formed a legal and media monitoring team within its information department to document and compile all defamatory publications targeting the organization and its leadership, in preparation for legal action against those responsible for these “orchestrated smear campaigns.”

The source reaffirmed that the Nasserite Organization remains steadfast in its national principles and fully committed to defending the supreme national interest, refusing to engage in narrow partisan rivalries or fruitless media exchanges.

He called on all party members and supporters to avoid reacting to such provocations, stressing that these media offensives are designed to drag the organization into unnecessary disputes that distract from the larger goal of national unity and reform.

The source concluded that these coordinated campaigns “bear no resemblance to mature political practice” and undermine genuine efforts by the Nasserite Organization and other national forces to heal divisions, transcend partisan interests, and restore the state through unified action to address Yemen’s deepening political, economic, and security crises.
